Oolong tea
Black tea is made by completely oxidizing green tea leaves - this makes the tea leaf brown / black in color. This also changes the taste of the tea.
By stopping this process during oxidation, partially oxidized tea is created, which is called oolong.
Oolong is any tea that has been slightly oxidized to almost completely oxidized. Therefore, there are many variants.
Milky Oolong (like many other oolongs) is made from Camelia Sinensis x Assamica. That is the "assam" variety of the tea bush. The leaf of this variant is large and stiff and is rolled a lot during the production process for this tea. You can also see that in the loose leaf tea. They are a kind of clots of tea leaves. The tea leaf unfolds very nicely when you pour water on it and then you can see that the leaves are from a plant.
