As the days get longer, so too changes the time of day we enjoy tea. In spring and summer, fresh, floral and fruity blends are particularly popular. At Van Hilst Koffie en Thee, we have put together a selection of light loose-leaf teas that are perfect for sunny days. Delicious as a hot tea on the terrace, but many of these blends are also excellent for making your own refreshing iced tea.

Spring and summer call for different flavors than the cold winter months. While spicy and warming blends are often chosen in winter, fresh, light, and floral teas are popular in spring. Think of green tea with citrus, fruity fruit blends, white tea with soft aromas, or refined black tea with a fresh twist.

For this collection, we have made a selection of teas that perfectly suit spring and summer. Many of these blends contain ingredients such as strawberry, raspberry, peach, mango, orange, lemon, jasmine, or other flowers and fruits. This creates a fresh taste experience that perfectly suits warmer days. Green teas with a soft, plant-based foundation and subtle fruit notes are also particularly popular during this period.

A great advantage of many of these loose teas is that they are excellent for making iced tea. Let the tea steep a little longer, let it cool down, and serve with ice cubes, fresh fruit, or a sprig of mint. This way, you can easily create a natural and flavorful thirst quencher without relying on ready-made iced tea.

Van Hilst Koffie en Thee is a tea sommelier and is daily involved with taste, aroma, quality and with combining flavors. For the pure tea varieties we have an assortment from all corners of the globe, from China to Kenya.
With our flavored teas we always try to find the balance between the taste of tea and the flavors we add. The base tea must be of good quality and the addition of fruit, spices and aromas must not overpower.

No drink in the world has such a rich history as tea. And no drink in the world (except water) is drunk as much as tea. Tea is extremely versatile and is prepared and drunk in many ways: pure, blended, flavored, with or without milk, sugar or honey, hot or cold, with the addition of spices, flowers, fruits, in cocktails, mocktails etc.

With our loose tea you will not only find pure green or black tea, or tea with the most delicious flavors. We have also placed the loose spices and rooibos with the loose tea for convenience, although it is not actually tea.
