Which coffee beans are best for my espresso machine?

An espresso machine or piston machine allows coffee lovers to extract the maximum flavour from the coffee bean. From the grind size and dosage to the extraction time: every step affects the final result. That is why a good espresso always starts with high-quality, freshly roasted coffee beans.

At Van Hilst Koffie en Thee, we carefully select our coffee beans based on flavour, origin and quality. By combining several types of coffee, we create balanced Premium Blends with a full body, intense aromas and a long-lasting finish. These blends are excellent for espresso and also form a perfect base for cappuccino, flat white and latte macchiato.

In addition to our espresso blends, our range also includes Single Origin coffees and Specialty Coffee. These coffees showcase the unique character of a single origin and offer a wide palette of flavour nuances, from chocolate and nuts to citrus, red fruit or floral notes. For enthusiasts who enjoy experimenting with grind and extraction, these coffees offer a special taste experience.

The right roast also plays an important role. A medium to medium-dark roast often ensures a beautiful balance between sweetness, fresh notes and a full body. This allows both espresso and milk variations to shine, without the coffee becoming overpoweringly bitter.

Whether you are an experienced home barista or have just started making espresso, the right coffee beans make all the difference. Discover the range from Van Hilst Koffie en Thee and experience how freshly roasted coffee beans create an aromatic espresso with a full flavour, a rich crema layer and a perfect balance.
