Versatile coffee from Brazil

...They grow an awful lot of coffee in Brazil... -- Frank Sinatra --

Brazil is therefore the largest coffee producer and the second largest coffee consumer in the world. For your imagination: almost every blend contains coffee beans from Brazil. These are an almost essential component for a beautiful blend: the beans add just that little bit of sweetness to complete the cup of the coffee. Due to the enormous size of the coffee culture in Brazil, the many regions, farmers and exporters, there is an enormous variety of coffees.

These coffee beans, from Minas Gerais, Cerrado, are mild and have nutty notes reminiscent of hazelnut, with a touch of a sweet shortbread sensation. In addition, the coffee is characterized by its beautiful balance of light caramel and melted chocolate, with a hint of juicy fruit in the background. This coffee naturally contains little caffeine and has a pleasantly sweet character.

The Cerrado is a Savannah-like area in the Central West of Brazil. Part of this area is in Minas Gerais, where these coffee beans come from. Minas Gerais is located between Rio de Janeiro to the southeast and the Federal District to the northwest. In mid-2004 the population was estimated at 18,993,720.
