Double-walled Coffeepress

The French word cafétière means nothing more than a coffee pot. The English coffeepress is therefore a better name for what we call a cafetiere. When the coffee, mixed with water - not boiling hot but just slightly cooled - is strong enough, press the coffee grounds down with the filter and separate the water and ground coffee.

What remains is a kind of slow coffee. The contact time of water and coffee is as long as you want. By using a somewhat coarser grind, you prevent coffee from getting past the sieve and your coffee remains nice and clear.
