This Colombia Supremo is a great coffee. Literally, because in Colombia coffee is graded according to the size of the bean. But this coffee is really a great coffee, with a very nice taste, sustainable and cultivated with a lot of passion and pride.
In this pure form a beautiful filter and cafetiere coffee. But these coffee beans are also used in many of our blends, because of its aromas and high quality.
Colombia is one of the major coffee countries with about 800,000 hectares of coffee bushes. Cultivation is mainly on a small scale and because the vast areas are located in different climatic zones, there are several harvest periods. Cascade de Bordones is the name of the cooperative of 40 farming families in or near the town of Isnos in the province of Huila. On the small plantations of an average of 2.5 hectares, people work hard to produce the best coffee cherries. At these altitudes (1800-2000 metres) there are few insects, so pesticides are not necessary for a good harvest. Preserving nature is very important and very normal for these coffee plantations.

The coffee from this plantation is purchased directly from the cooperative (Farmers Direct). Because there are fewer intermediaries in the purchase of this coffee, a larger part of the yield goes to the farmer.
