Kilimanjaro Coffee
A new Farmer's Direct coffee from a family-run farm (APK Estate) that has been growing high-quality Arabica at the foot of Kilimanjaro since 2010.
The coffee is carefully grown and harvested. And you can taste it: floral aromas, fresh citrus, and a long, juicy finish.
Also special: this coffee contains mainly indigenous old coffee varieties.
When you choose our Tanzania Kilimanjaro coffee, you're supporting more than just good coffee. For every kilo sold, we donate €0.50 to APK's maize project. This ensures that children at 38 primary schools in the region receive a nutritious meal every day. For many parents – many of whom work on the coffee plantations – this is a crucial motivation to send their children to school. A full belly means better concentration, better opportunities, and a healthier future. So your cup of coffee contributes to more than just taste: it gives children the fuel to learn and grow.
Farmer's direct
By purchasing the coffee directly from the cooperative, rather than through traditional trade channels, a larger portion of the price we pay goes to the coffee farmers. There are fewer links in the supply chain between the coffee farmer and the coffee drinker.

APK Estate
On the fertile slopes of mighty Kilimanjaro lies APK Estate: a unique coffee plantation where Colombian expertise blends with the rich African soil. African Plantations Kilimanjaro (APK) is part of the family business Oro Molido, which has been producing coffee in Colombia for three generations. Since 2010, they have been bringing their knowledge and expertise to Tanzania, where they cultivate premium Arabica coffee in a way that is unique in the region: with attention to people, the environment, and quality.
Thanks to the high-altitude location, the mineral-rich volcanic soil, and the stable, sunny climate near the equator, the coffee plant thrives exceptionally well here. Meltwater from Kilimanjaro feeds the plantations through a sophisticated irrigation system, and all the farm's energy comes from the sun – a sustainable solution in a region with limited access to electricity.
What makes this coffee truly special are the people behind it. Each coffee bean is hand-planted, hand-picked, and processed by local workers who work with care and dedication. APK believes that the quality of specialty coffee begins with the people and therefore invests heavily in their well-being. By encouraging local leadership and collaborating with cooperatives, not only the coffee itself flourishes, but also the community. Their foundation supports schools and healthcare in the region – for example, 38 schools received maize, and medical checkups are more accessible than ever.
